Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft addressed 700 guests at Tucson, Arizona’s 14th annual Good Friday Breakfast on April 6, 2012 at the Tucson Convention Center.

With his characteristic humor, candor and heart, Mr. Ashcroft urged each person to daily pick up his cross and persevere through the trials and tribulations. Focusing on the role Simon of Cyrene played on the road to Golgotha, he encouraged each to recognize and fulfill his purpose, even in the midst of persecution.
