We were contacted a few weeks ago by Amy Richissin of the Women of Faith Conferences. If you are not familiar with WoF, I can most easily describe it as a “female Promise Keepers.” They are evangelical in doctrine and non-denominational in their approach.

As you can see from their website, they are putting on many events around the county this year. Their goal is to reach 300,000 women. They have offered to help Teen Challenge benefit from this ministry. Any Teen Challenge can benefit from their involvement with WoF, not just the women’s centers. There are two ways that your center can benefit from this.

• Any center can sell tickets to the events and will profit from some of the proceeds: $20 per ticket sold
• If you are a women’s center, you can work with them to arrange for your ladies to attend the conference, which is certain to be a great blessing to them

Here is how it will work. Let’s say that you order 100 tickets from WoF and they send them to you. Each ticket costs $89. You contact your constituents through your website, your newsletter, and the various churches that you have relationships with, and through any other means and are able to sell 50. You would send $3,450 to WoF ($69X50 tickets). Your Teen Challenge center would then keep $1,000 ($20X50 tickets). The unsold tickets would then be returned to WoF at no charge.

Before you say,”That’s nice, but they are not going to be close to where we are located.” The truth is, though, that 43 percent of attendees travel over 100 miles to attend each event! This means that most of our centers will be well within range of a conference. There are likely some ladies in your area who have already decided to attend a WoF event. Why not let them buy their tickets through Teen Challenge?

I really think this could be of great benefit to some, if not most of our centers.
