First Lady of Wisconsin Tonette Walker Visits Teen Challenge of Arizona
It was an honor to host Mrs. Tonette Walker, First Lady of Wisconsin and wife of Governor
Scott Walker, August 3, 2011, at our Home of Hope for Women and Children in Casa Grande,
Arizona.
Mrs. Walker is very interested in seeing Wisconsin Teen Challenge begin a program for women
in recovery where they can bring their infant to seven year old children with them while in the
program.
Rev. Diane Swanson, RN, BSN, Director of Home of Hope, and Rev. Snow Peabody, Executive State Director for Teen Challenge of Arizona and National Teen Challenge Representative to Washington D.C., provided a tour of the 35,000 sq ft. facility and explained how a similar program could be set up.

Joining Mrs. Walker was Ms. Judy Dooley, Associate Director of Programs and Services for Wisconsin Teen Challenge, and Allison Malcolm, Women’s Program Director for “Robby Dawson” Home in Wisconsin.
Mrs. Walker expressed how important and needed programs like the Home of Hope are today in our society and commended Diane Swanson for the excellent job she and her staff are doing.
